No CommentsYou’ve got to be kidding – do you really think any of these muppets are going to get the sack? In the face of Mr Darling getting caught up in the scandal what has dear old Gordon had to say – he’s a great Chancellor and a good friend – what the hell has this to do with anything other than don’t worry I’ve got your back (until such time as the heat gets too much and then your on your own)
The next thing that will happen but you won’t hear about it is that if anyone “has to go” they will receive compensation for loss of office, pay in lieu of notice tax free, effectively payments on termination of employment and it will all be rolled up into a termination agreement that also deals with their pension. Yes, nothing has been mentioned to date about their lucrative civil service pensions, maybe they’ll be able to salary sacrifice pension contributions to maximise their tax savings?
If an employee did half of what has been alleged then it is likely that they would face dismissal on the grounds of gross misconduct and potential criminal proceedings and what about the company if you think they haven’t suffered carry on reading on this week
