HMRC investigations should stop the practice of phoenix companies
4 CommentsOh boy this subject is very close to my heart and I’ll tell you why later – you’ll want to read it as it is a name and shame!
Not sure about the subject matter – this refers to a company who runs up debt whether it be to third parties or even their own employees and then see fit to walk away from these debts by winding up the company and then surprise, surprise as Cilla would say, they set up in business again as if nothing has happened, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
It’s happening all the time and neither HMRC or Companies House are doing enough to stop the practice. Going to Court almost represents a waste of time and money – you get the judgement but it can’t be enforced as the company has been wound up, assets have been moved, sold you name it
It should be illegal but no one is doing anything to stop this well today I am going to do my bit and stand up and be counted. If you live in Kent, this little gem is for you but I would add that this person is scottish(only mentioned so that you do not think you are looking for someone with a Kentish accent), nasally impaired (you’ll be able to tell when he speaks) and trades in Wales, Northern Ireland basically wherever he can and he is a serial phoenixer with CCJ’s like a badge of honour – his name is ROBERT RYCE, who frequents Maidstone. He trades in the Construction Industry, his current company does Health & Safety training (he has no qualifications in relation to this) – so if you come across him give him a wide berth

I have had the misfortune of having dealings with Mr Ryce and he is now a sole trader under the name “Constructive Business Support” in Cinderford Gloucester. He is everything and more when it comes to his Bad business practice, more must be done to stop this man, his girlfreind Clare Harvey and his son David Ryce, who all appear happy to be used to aid him manipulate the system and dodge paying off what he owes others. He for some reason STILL thinks he has something to offer. HE DOESNT, he is still attempting to be a H&S practitioner with the very minimum of qualifications which makes him foolhardy, still undertakes works which he is not certified to undertake which is just outright stupidity and still rips peoples money off them when it suits, he is a danger to everyone he comes into contact with, PLEASE AVOID THIS MAN AND CONSTRUCTIVE BUSINESS SUPPORT, but more importantly ROBERT RYCE as the man is a complete nightmare, all the companies who do still have dealings with him should be aware that he will walk away from you as soon as any trouble comes your way…and it will, find another consultant who is qualified or face the consequences as you get what you pay for in this industry!.

Robert Ryce still owes me thousands of pounds and I know I am not going to see any of it, DO NOT TRADE with this man or his associates as you will not see a penny of it, he disputes every job I ever did for him including setting up email, fitting hard drives etc

I cannot believe it. I did work for this creep (because he was Scottish as myself) and he never paid. We had amongst other things set up his web site and so took everything down expecting that he would pay but nothing. I find out today that the guy not only has tried to reset up his web site but he took the money out of my account (the one on the system)
I have a legal team so I ask everyone who has commented to contact me direct and we bring a class action against him personally. He foolishly gave us personal details about himself and I say its time to get him back for everything he has done and will continue to do. I need as much info as possible and together we can create a case that he must answer to. My investigations say he is trading as a director who was bankrupt but I have only hearsay on that . Any help please get in touch -

I spent 2 years chasing a car company in surrey that did exactly the same. Last week I lost everything. I have raised this issue time and time again with BBC Watchdog (no reply) so today I wrote to my MP.
